Practical experience in reaching
out with the gospel is an
important part of the school
program. Every Wednesday
afternoon, Cherfils and the
students travel to work with a
congregation in meeting, inviting
and teaching their community.

Service
In Haiti, it is common for
preachers to be "big men" above
their congregations. Our goal is
to train "servant evangelists" who
will follow Christ's model of
leadership. The students help
with building and maintenance
projects around the school. They
have also been involved in helping
the poor in the Galman community
and their home villages. They
eagerly worked to help with clean
up after the flooding in Gonaives.

After their first year, the students
plan, organize and teach a
seminars for village preachers and
leaders in a new area of northern
Haiti. Community members and
denominational leaders also often
attend
The seminars give the students
the opportunity to share what
they are learning and stay in
touch with the concerns of the
Haitian church.
