Kimoun mwen ye? Who am I?
My name is Celigny Saintilnord. I am a Haitian. I was born on April
28th 1970 in the northeast, in a town called Savanne Longe.
My mother and father were both Haitian, but they both died. My father
died in 1988; my mother died in 2003. I had 13 brothers and sisters;
11 of them have died. It is only my sister and myself who remain.
I have been working hard in the church of Christ from 1992 up until
now. Now I am a student for Christ at the CBT. I finished high school.
I married in 1993. I have 3 children, plus my wife is in her last month
of pregnancy. I have 4 orphans in my care at my house. They are the
children of my brothers and sisters who died. I the director of the
church of Christ school at Savanne Longe.
Sometimes I feel sad about life, but everytime I feel like this, I take the
Bible and I look up to heaven and I regain my strength again.
In general, that's who I am.
Celigny Saintilnord
During the first week of classes at
the CBT, David asked each student
to write a brief answer to the
question "Kimoun mwen ye?"
"Who am I?" This is Celigny
Saintilnord's response.
