Kimoun mwen ye? Who am I?
Kimoun mwen ye? Who am I?
My name is Enoc Dumorné. I am 54 years old.
I was born into a divided family, that is to say my father was not
around when I was growing up. This made it very difficult for my
mother to take care of me and send me to school. I had many great
dreams that I was not able to realize such as, I wanted to become a
doctor. Despite all of that I was not discouraged.
My mother had a great faith in God. From the time I was little she
taught me the Word and because of that as I grew up my faith in God
was growing too. That is why today I have given all my life to serve
God. Now I am studying at the Center for Biblical Training so I can
become a better leader for the Lord.
Note: Dumorné was still single when he wrote the words above but he
was married on January 26th, 2008. He is an only child and for many
years he lived with and took care of his elderly mother. She passed
away a few years ago and now he is starting a new phase in his life as
a husband and, who knows, maybe a father before long as well. If that
happens, his children will be blessed to have such a gentle man of faith
as Dumorné for their father. He is the president of this preaching class
and is a quiet but wise leader. He is the preacher for the Lagosette
congregation.
During the first week of classes at
the CBT, David asked each student
to write a brief answer to the
question "Kimoun mwen ye?"
"Who am I?" This is Enoc
Dumorne's response.
Lagosette is south of Cap Haitien
