Name:  Edouard Saint-Clervil

I'm unmarried, but with older brothers in this fourth class of
the CBT.

Where are you from?:

I was born in Bahon, but after my father died, I left Bahon
to live in Ranquitte, in an area not too far from Bahon called
Bas-La-Riviere.  It's there that brother Mivoy Devalcin and I
are fighting to advance the church.

How has your time at the CBT helped you personally?

It's been a great blessing for the church to send me here
for the last three years.  I don't regret it.  I feel joyful in
God for the greater strength and knowledge he has given
me in this great ministry.  These three years he has helped
me  to help the church grow in all ways.  The only thing I still
need is for others to pray with me always so that my
ministry can prosper in the Holy Spirit.

Has the CBT helped you in your ministry?

For my ministry, the teaching has helped me very, very
much to help people have more confidence in Christ.  It also
helped me to teach them correct doctrine and to have more
love one for another, which is the number one thing in the
life for a Christian.  The school has given me more
knowledge and courage to speak and preach better, also to
do evangelization.

What advice would you give to a new student?

For the new students who are coming to the school, I would
counsel them to have more courage to come here if they
want to help their home congregation to grow spiritually
and in knowledge of the scriptures.  The school teaches well
how to be a minister of Christ and to lead according to all
His plans.  I would ask them, when they come to the school,
to have solidarity with everyone as brothers, especially with
the directors.  They should submit to all the rules of the
school, so God will bless their ministries according to the
promise of Jer. 29:11, Ps. 27:35 and Matt. 28:19,20.  I
would show them the best thing for a person when he
takes on a responsibility is for him to serve the Lord.  He
won't ever be embarrassed or humiliated for being a
person who follows Christ.

What has been most difficult during your time at the CBT?

The thing that has been most difficult for me while I've
been in school is thinking about my mother (who is a
widow) and my three little sisters.  I am the one who has
always helped them before with the little work I used to do
so that I could pay for my sisters' school.  I still think about
their needs and I think about what I'll do after I finish here
at the school.  I want to continue their education and have
a project for them, since I am the oldest in my family.  I also
think about the great responsibilities as a preacher for my
congregation.  Every time I return, some people always ask
me for help, but I am not able.  These things always cause
me to think.  But I have great strength according to
Phillipians 4:6.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I have decided with all my heart to return
to my home to continue my ministry there.  I want to help
the church grow more.  I also want to go to new areas
which are difficult to cause them to hear the holy teachings
of Christ and establish new congregations.  I want to help
the widows, orphans and paralyzed to find food.  I want to
start a school and an orphanage if it is the will of God.  In all
these activities, I ask you to pray for me to have more
devotion to do these great, blessed works and for me to
take seriously the work of God (Prov. 20:25, I Cor. 9:16).

My brothers and sisters, thank you for the help you have
given to the school during these three years.   Continue
praying for us.
During their final trimester of classes, we
asked each student some questions about
their experience at the CBT.  This is Edouard's
response.
