How has your time at the CBT helped you personally?
The three years I've passed at the Bible school haven't
been too bad. The school has helped me to take care of my
family and to go see them, even to spend the night at home
when there have been problems. Because of this, my
family has not felt they were alone. (editor's note: Jonas'
wife has been seriously ill recently, and she is now in the
Dominican Republic recovering from surgery. Jonas has been
spending the nights at home in Cap Haitien with his children
while his wife has been away.)
Has the CBT helped you in your ministry?
In training my brothers and sisters, in teaching them, in
studying the word of God with them in a way that is better
than before I came to school.
What advice would you give to a new student?
Respect all the discipline the school asks. Obey the
directors. It is fine if everything doesn't please you, you will
gain greater blessing from God if you do these things.
What has been most difficult during your time at the CBT?
Getting my children ready for school while I have been in
school has been a headache.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to return to preaching the gospel, not only in the
congregation I came from, but in other areas in the
neighborhood of Carice.
During their final trimester of classes, we
asked each student some questions about
their experience at the CBT. This is Jonas'
response.
