How has your time at the CBT helped you personally?
The three years I've spent at the CBT have helped me a
lot.
- I've established 11 new friendships with the students
who are from all different areas of Haiti.
- I've come to know many new areas of Haiti and many
congregations through the seminars the school has
permitted the students to organize each trimester.
- I've passed three good years in peace with the
students, directors, instructors and workers. I thank
the American committee which has worked so that I
was able to pass these three years in peace.
Has the CBT helped you in your ministry?
The school has helped me very much in my ministry. It has
shown me how to preach with homiletic principles. It has
shown me how to study the Bible with exegesis and
context. It has taught me how to direct the church as a
good leader.
What advice would you give to a new student?
I would advise them to always be wise under the directors
of the school. They should always be ready to do whatever
the directors ask them to do. They should respect and love
the other students. They should appreciate the workers at
the school. In this way they can become good preachers.
What has been most difficult during your time at the CBT?
The most difficult time for me was at the end of each
trimester when time for vacation came and we went to our
families. I had financial difficulties during all that month,
because I was responsible for my own support.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to work in the church for the rest of my life.
- Build a place for the congregation to worship.
- Build a school where the children of the church
members and the children in the community can get
education and instruction.
- Build an orphanage in the community so that I can help
children who do not have parents and who live in
misery.
- Preach the good news in places that do not have an
assembly in the northeastern areas.
During their final trimester of classes, we
asked each student some questions about
their experience at the CBT. This is Moise's
response.
